Ms. Cynthia Marie Schindel-Engstrom Obituary

141 W Dublin Circle, Chandler, AZ, 85225 - Cynthia Marie Schindel Engstrom was born June 26th, 1967 to Edmund and Emma Schindel (6/26/1967) in Aurora Illinois, Copley Hospital. Cynthia was a passionate teacher whose commitment to empathy and acceptance of all people extended to the most vulnerable of all creatures great and small. Cynthia was an open minded and dedicated researcher of the spirit and organic health and well being. She was a dedicated Pescatarian and driven to discover holistic remedies in combination with modern medicine for overall wellness. She was a formidable athlete, a natural swimmer who nobly taught many in Chandler how to swim as water safety and conservation was an important cause. With her mother, she was a member of CERT (Chandler Emergency Response Team) for many years. In addition to swimming she enjoyed skiing, hiking, fishing and dancing. She loved to travel, particularly Europe and the Western US, as well as an interest in traveling to Asia and Africa, and longed to go on great adventures with a sense of curiosity including digital travel. Her greatest loves were her two daughters and her many animals which included dogs, cats, birds, fish, and reptiles. Cynthia spent several years as a caregiver for her parents and her animals, and although it wasn't easy her love never wavered. Her laughter remains unforgettable, her candor was beyond comfortable and always expected and appreciated with her wonderful sense of humor and wit. Her smile stays with us and offers us comfort and lasting joy. Her final resting place will be in Vail, Colorado, alongside her father Edmund Schindel, a family place and sporting place where she spent her honeymoon and years of cherished childhood memories.

She is survived by her daughters Jocylyn Kirsty (Marc Ellis), Joelle Nicolette (Michael Kurtz), Sibling Debra Schindel-Bogle, Brother-In-Law James Bogle, Niece Brianne Bogle, and Niece Brigitte Bogle-Van Geel, Nephew Rogier Bogle-Van Geel, Great Nieces Marlene and Leonie Bogle Van-Geel, Aunt Linda Schindel-Moore, Cousin Luke Schindel-Moore, Uncle Ramon Esquivel, Aunt Patricia Zamora, Uncle Rudy Zamora, Cousin Ben Zamora, Cousin Martin Zamora, and many Esquivel cousins.
